Summer holiday on the farm in Flachau

Here your kids can really enjoy romping around outdoors. We offer the perfect surroundings for a great family holiday.  In the summer there’s plenty going on! We have a pets’ corner for our younger guests with goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, ponies etc. in front our a newly-built agricultural buildings. Or how about a hike up to our own alpine hut?

In addition to the many adventures that await on the farm, the region around Flachau offers a variety of leisure activities. Our farm makes the perfect base for hikes, biking tours and sightseeing trips. Right nearby you’ll find a riding stables and bridle-path. The Flachau sports centre with skatepark, football, tennis, beach volleyball and basketball can be reached on foot or on our bikes in approx. 5 minutes.  


Fancy cooling off? Both of our bathing lakes with drinking water quality are great for splashing and lazing around and they’re free of charge too.

Salzburg, capital of the province Salzburg is always worth a visit.

The 900 year old castle „Hohensalzburg“ is Salzburg’s landmark.

Shop in the old town with it’s famous „Getreidegasse“ where you also find Mozarts birth place.

The „house of nature“ offers all kind of entertainment: natural science, technic, playful researching and discovering. End the day with a stroll through the Mirabell garden.


Our tipp: park at Park&Ride Salzburg-Süd and take public transport from there to the center.

Schloss Hellbrunn - water games and the zoo

On beautiful days visit castle Hellbrunn with it’s famous trick fountains.

Get to know water in it’s most beautiful and surprising appearance.

Zoo Salzburg:

Not far from castle Hellbrunn is Salzburg’s zoo with animals from Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. A petting zoo awaits the younger visitors.

Salzwelten Hallein

Take a fascinating tour through the salt mines. A train takes you deep in to the mines and a miners slide ends at an underground lake – fun for the whole family!

Enjoy fantastic views in to the scenery of the Salzachtal and mountain panorama of Hohen Tauern from Austria’s steepest cable car. Lots of steps to master down the cave, but the beauty of the ice sculptures, the sheer dimension of the cave more then make up for the effort.

Burg Hohenwerfen

This breathtaking imposing castle with it’s historical falconry is dating back to the 11th century. Inspect the torture chamber and suits of armor and experience and exciting bird of prey demonstration.

Lichtenstein gorge – one of the most beautiful and deepest wild water gorge in the alps. The thunderous falls and raging torrent have torn their way over thousands of years deeper and deeper in to the mountain leaving a wonderous gorge!

Dachstein Gletscher

Enjoy the most exciting view from „Dachstein Sky Walk“ located at the Dachstein Glacier which emerges free over the mountain edge. The walking floor made partly of glass offers an unrivalled out- and down look! The majestic ice palace takes you in to a mystic world of snow and ice inside the glacier.

Großglockner Hochalpenstrasse

Wild-& Freizeitpark Ferleiten:

Directly at Großglockner road before the toll gate is the recreation park Ferleiten. More than 200 species native to the alps are found in this park amidst a breathtaking world of mountains.
